Epimethea is a place to meet people, chat about things and find
(and share) good websites, represented by buildings.
Epimethea is a virtual city, a meeting place made for and by its
users.
Feel free to contribute to the creation of Epimethea. Stroll
around its streets, chat with people you find there, make buildings,
make streets.
Epimethea is about movement and communication: You can hear other
people's messages by moving near them. You can only hear the latest messages
and see the latest avatar positions of other users by moving around.
You can only access the websites represented by buildings by moving nearby.
Click on the pavement to position yourself where you want to be. Moving
near to a website will open it in the preview window. Once you are nearby,
clicking on the building will open that site in a new window.
There may be buildings there already, or you can make your own,
if you know of any good websites others might enjoy.
Buildings may have graffiti on them, or you can write your own.
There may be more streets and pavements to follow, or you can make
your own
Note: this is a prototype system that will only work
properly if you have a screen width of at least 1024 pixels and you
are using Mozilla 1.x, IE6, Netscape 7 or above. JavaScript should
be enabled. Don't even consider using anything older or quirkier.
